Even though beef breeding doesn’t have that long tradition in Czech agricultural industry, it has become very important part of it in last decades. Czech Republic has the best possible conditions for beef breeding. Not only having the ideal climatic and geographic predispositions, but also the land. There is about 1 mil ha of meadows and pastures, totalling approx. 23% of country’s agricultural land. Today’s breeds include: Aberdeen angus, Belgian Blue, Blonde d‘ Aquitaine, Galloway, Gasconne, Hereford, Highland, Charolais, Limousine, Beef simental, Piemontese, Salers, Aubrac, Parthenaise, Shorthorn, Texas longhorn.
This tour will be a unique opportunity to learn interesting facts about the beef breeding, methods, and technologies used nowadays and to meet farmers and beef breeders to share their experience.
